Homily from the Third Sunday in Ordinary Time.
"He established a Kingdom based on these 12 men and their successors, the bishops of the Catholic Church, the successors of Peter, the pope, and the Catholic Church. And there's not one place on this planet that has not been touched and has not been blessed by God's promise. Why? Because when everything seems like all hope is gone and all is lost, God steps in and He does something that we never could have imagined. It doesn't mean necessarily that He gives us back our innocence, but He can give us redemption. It doesn't necessarily mean that He gives us back our youth, but He can give us wisdom. It doesn't necessarily mean that He gives me back that relationship, or give me back that loved one who has died...but it does mean that He gives us hope. Hope even in the midst of absolute tragedy."
